I really cant stop watching this video of charice pempengco- a 15 year old kid from Philippines who sings excellent at star king show in Korea. The audience were strucked of her wonderful voice and the way she performs at the stage was amazing. She got standing ovation.
She almost makes my hubby wept. I just cant believed why she never win the Little Big Star Contest. I'm sure she will be more successful now that she was featured by Ellen Show, Paul O Grady Show and E's Daily 10. She got a lot of offer from recording company abroad. Im proud of her being a filipina. Keep it up pinoy...

I'll share this true stories send to me by my father in law to all the mothers who have little kids shopping in malls. Maybe this could give us ideas on how to avoid our kids from respective predators.
>Wanted to share something that happened today while shopping at Sam's Club. A mother was leaning over looking for meat and turned around to find her 4 yr. old daughter was missing. I was standing there right beside her, and she was calling her daughter with no luck.>
> I asked a man who worked at Sam's to announce it over the loud speaker for Katie. He did, and let me say he immediately walked right past me when I asked and went to a pole where there was a phone. He made an announcement for all the doors and gates to be locked, a code something.>
> So they locked all the doors at once. This took all of 3 minutes after Iasked the guy to do this. They found the little girl 5 minutes later in a bathroom stall. Her head was half shaved, and she was dressed in her underwearwith a bag of clothes, a razor, and wig sitting on the floor beside her to make her look different.>
> Whoever this person was, took the little girl, brought her into the bathroom, shaved half her head, and undressed her in a matter of less than 10minutes. This makes me shake to no end. Please keep a close eye on your kids when in big places where it's easy for you to get separated.>
> It only took a few minutes to do all of that-another 5 minutes and she would have been out the door. I am still in shock that some sick person could do this, let alone in a matter of minutes. The days are over when our little ones could run rampant all over the place and nothing would happen to them.>
> The little girl is fine. Thank God for fast workers who didn't take any chances.>
> BE SURE TO FORWARD THIS TO EVERYONE, SO THEY KNOW JUST
> HOW SICK PEOPLE ARE OUT THERE!!! (This happened at the Sam's WholesaleClub in Omaha, Nebraska.)>
> >This message has been added to the story above:>>
I received this e-mail from one of my friends today. Let me first tell you that I work at the Sam's club in Lincoln,NE. The code that was spoken of is called a 'Code Adam'. It is named after John Walsh's (host of Americas MostWanted) son Adam who was kidnapped and murdered many years ago. It is used in all Sam's Clubs, Wal-marts, and Wal-mart super centers to locate lost children.>
>This is how it works. If by some means you have been separated with your child tell the nearest employee! The employee will page a 'Code Adam' (missing childin the store) over the intercom system followed by a description of the child(height, weight, hair color, age, name etc).>
>When that page goes out all the exits are immediately guarded, and/or locked in some cases, also every employee will stop whatever they are doing no matter what it is and help look for the missing child. This will continue until the child is found.>
>If the child is not found within a reasonable time then the police are notified and the store will conduct an isle by isle search. So if ever you are separated from your child now you know what to do. >>
>Missing children pictures hang by the exits of all Wal-mart and Sam's Clubstores, please take a few minutes to look these over as you leave, you just might have seen one of the children on them and you might be the one to givetheir parents hope and give the police a new lead in finding them.>
>Even if you do not have little kids, pass this one on to everyone you can think of. You never know who you might save by sending this email!>Please take the time and forward this to any friend who has children &grandchildren!

Yesterday, i was little disappointed when we went to a buffet restaurant. I'm really craving for barbeque ribs for many days but found out they doesn't cooked that recipe for the day. I end up eating a big bowl of salad to satisfy my taste buds and a little bit of chicken. Fortunately today, we went to Dave's restaurant - i definitely ordered a barbeque ribs. I earnestly begging my hubby to grant my desire for barbeque ribs. lol! Because of that episode that Tyra had about cooking - seeing those yummy ribs they ate. holy cow! You cant really sleep if your not able to satisfy your cravings. hehehhe.... Who can't resist not to eat this ribs? yum yum....

I was disappointed today when hubby doesn't permit me to attend my Interview at Northwest Airlines. He keep on telling me not to apply any kind of jobs unless i was able to acquired my drivers license. He was so upset because i didn't study my drivers manual- I was supposed to take the drivers test yesterday. I told him I've studied it but not sure if i could remember it. Since, i reviewed it last week- I'm kinda forgetful and want to be sure its fresh in my mind once i take the exam. One thing I'm afraid of -I was hesitant and lack of confidence on the wheel. I want to make sure I'm ready enough to drive the streets. Thus, i was screwed up for not showing my interview- making me guilty. Its unprofessional behavior not showing up for interview or even not letting them know. I was really anxious for that opportunity though its only for par time job. Whats important for me ill gain more exposures and experiences outside my expertise. As i really want to meet or mingle different kinds of people with different cultures. Maybe, my hubby has valid reason to act that way especially the wage is not that good. He also has a point- Its only a waste of gas if he will drive me off to work in opposite directions going to his work at the same time. So its better for me now to practice driving until ill gain more confidence.

I cant think of any topic i would write today. I feel tired for working whole day at my hubby's workplace. His boss asked me to clean and organized things in his office and will pay for my service. Yeah i was glad too at least i was able to earn at least once in awhile when he needed me for help in his office. Its not only an exercise but earning a bucks as well- better than sitting at home for nothing. Its not only helping my hubby but also gain more friends and exposure to career possibilities. I'm already missing my work - answering emergency calls and able to served people who is in need of help for emergency situations. Maybe, this would help start building experiences. I really want to be exposed to busy environment where i could mingle different kinds of people. Just wishing.... God knows... lol! This is the life in U.S.A -work hard for success.
I'll just crossed fingers, we don't know what gonna happen.... I'll just do whatever i can do.

Its been 8 months now that i been away with my family. I already missed them so much especially my nieces and nephew. They make me happy everytime we played toys. They are such a cute angels to me... I reminisced the times that our family spend together at the beach. Its feels great and rewarding especially seeing your family together nibbling the foods laid in the table. Even if we only prepared sweet potato, banana and grilled fish- you could see how satisfied their faces. Until now, im pretty excited remembering those memories. I wished i could get a ticket that easy and fly back home to visit my family. But, its hard especially the airline ticket fair is so expensive. uhmmmmmmmmm. It would be fine if im rich but i am not. lol!
Especially this time of recession, all prices were growing up. But the wages were still the same.
You can't just go home without any pasalubong( presents ) for your family, relatives and friends.
We are really accustomed to give presents for them even just a chocolates. You would make them smile a little bit. lol! Anyway, that all for whining... have a good day to all!

I was in my husband's workplace today. I was kinda bored here at home and begged my hubby to come with him. At least to get away from boredom. I always been home all by myself every time my hubby works- its killing me... When i was in the Philippines, i really find time to spend with friends & cousins either in mall watching movie or just window shopping. I'm not a home buddy type... I'm a person who enjoys outdoor activities. But when i got here its hard especially if you have no friends you could visit near your house. Though, i already had my working permit- i can't also work. That sucks... Who will employ me if i don't have car? How will i get there to work? And if ever my hubby will drove me to work, the wage is not enough for gas & food. Ohhh i might get crazy.... lol! I really don't know what to do. I can't find a good wage job, i should start in low paying job for me to earn experience. Although, i had experience as fire women in the Philippines and works in emergency hot line as operator. But its still not enough experience to get a good job here. Its been many months, I've been battling of this challenges. Not only makes me pity of myself but triggers depression as well. But somehow, I tried to commit myself being busy everyday-making me forget the stressful boredom that overwhelmed me. I'm still thankful, i have a wonderful husband & family who is always there to lean on the hard times of my life. Thankful, i have friends on web and able to expressed my feelings through blogging.

Every time my hubby get his paycheck every week, we spend time for a dinner either in buffet or any restaurant we want. Today, we went to a restaurant where they serve roasted peanuts before a course of meal. I was having fun eating those peanuts and feel satiated already. I was wondering why my hubby throwing all the peanut shells in the ground. Yet, i found out shells should be thrown in the ground. It was funny... lol! I could not resist not to laugh at it though. Its weird! The waitress asked us if we are ready to order in a menu. So, my hubby quickly ordered a beef steak with sweet potato because he was hungry for not eating lunch. That's what he got for not having lunch! growling stomach... Anyway, i ordered baby back ribs with two side dishes of apple cinnamon and vegetables. I like the taste of their barbecue, its sweet & savory. I could definitely ranked their foods as excellent. Though, I'm already full for nibbling the peanuts but i still able to consumed the barbecue ribs. lol! Not to mention their excellent customer service, its really amazing. The waitress entertained us very well, no wonder we're giving her a good tip. We certainly coming back again soon to spend our dinner there.

I screwed up again on my diet today. I asked my hubby to purchased me a banana split. I was craving for it- gosh. So, we end up buying a large one & it made me feel guilty now. I can't really resist not to craved for chocolates or ice cream. Its better for me not to eat meats than sweets. But, i know its not good for me especially my family had history of diabetes. I have the huge possibilities to inherit it. Just this few months i am battling of sticking on a proper diet and exercise. But sometimes its hard not to indulge what you craved - its very overwhelming. Who can't resist that yummy, chocolaty and creamy banana split. ohhh holy cow... I can't stop it.

How would you feel if one of your relatives can't afford to procure three meals a day? would you feel pity? How about if you can't do nothing to help them because you have your own family to support too. Would you feel guilty? Imagine, how they survive for eating a meal just twice a day or even once a day. How would you react seeing them in your naked eye having the glow in their faces eating a small fish split into three pieces. Would you ask yourself - how they survive? If we are in their feet, could we survive too? We don't know if we will survive or not... right? Sometimes, i feel guilty every time i wasted the leftovers we had because we were full already. While, there are people out there who need food badly. Everytime, we eat in a buffet - I sneakily seen others who surmounted their plates with foods. I cant figure out how they finished it- or are they going to just wasted it if they're full. But anyway that's their life, they can do anything they want - i cant do nothing about it. Sometimes, i would wish to win a lotto so at least i could donate money to charity. Or i would yearn that the our government will do something to help the people who is in need. The people who doesn't have the shelter and not able to eat 3 meals a day. The poor people who cant afford for medical expenses. The people who desperately needs a job but can't be hired because of some educational preferences or even "ninong system". This is very apparent in our own country, we can't deny it. There are alot of graduates who remained in their homes because of competitive opportunities and lack of jobs. How i wish all the problems we have in our country will be solved.

I asked my hubby to teach me how to drive today. We went to the park and let me drive his truck w/c was really big for me. He was really frightened the way i drive because i never listened to his instructions. He was really nervous everytime i drove over a pavement and holes. Ofcourse, i never experience driving a car in my entire life. I think i got phobia since i have an accident driving a motor bike. It just makes me uneasy in the wheel everytime i remember that event. I almost thrown to the waterway if not with that big stone blocked on it. Holy cow... i almost got killed with that. Im still thankful that big stone saved me. No wonder until now im not comfortable & confident enough to drive my own yet. It makes me nervous & shaky but no choice i have to practice and overcome my fears. Its hard not working and be alone all the time. I have to face my fears so i could get more confident in the wheels. Though, my hubby is not really calm in terms of teaching me how to drive. I still understand him because i know im really stupid sometimes. hehehehe Anyway, i hope one of this days- I can drive already with my own & not panic. So that i could start finding jobs and go shopping my own too....

Its really a nice day today. The weather was clear and sunny. So i ask my husband to drove me to the park so i could at least jogged for half an hour. He never come with me due to his knee injury. He can't run anymore and hesitant to walk too. So that means i'm jogging alone at the park but enjoyed it. At least i got sweat ... Since i arrived here last year, i gained alot of weight. its freaking me out... Thats why i started to limit my food intake and find time to exercise. After we got home, i was inspired to clean the front & back yard of our house. Its been a long time that i never clean it . Grass and leaves were on stock already. My husband and i help raked the pile of leaves and grass. Put it in the garbage and plant some flowers. We started to see flowers of different colors. It was really nice to see them just grow like that. Its pretty amazing if you haven't seen that until you arrived here in US. I never seen flowers growing in our yard before. hehehe... Thats what i really like in the spring season. Its just a nice weather for me to enjoy going out. I can't wait to wear sleeveless and colorful blouses. I can't wait to explore more of our city yet. I want to see all the wonderful views and sights in this state. Ohh how i love spring...

I really thought life here in U.S is easy. But, I am wrong... Its really opposite of what i expected. Living a life here is expensive. Especially the unending surges of prices in our everyday necessities like gasoline, foods and homes. Not to mention the growing numbers of unemployed individuals who provides their respective families. Interest rates of credit cards, loans and mortgages were incredibly high. Before you could borrow money or loan from banks, be sure you have good credits to avoid big interest rates. Once you forgot to pay your bills or late paying fees, it affects your credit score. Once you never pay your mortgage for many months, your house will be facing foreclosure. The property you've been paying for a long time will be gone. Sometimes, you'll receive unemployment insurance check if ever you lost your job. But, Is it enough for all the expenditures? ofcourse, the answer is not. Its not easy to find job if you've been laid off. It affects the credibility of your Resume. You will notice a slight difference or changes of your current wage. You can't splurge yourself for fun, if you want. Because money is scarcely enough... sigh... Life is not easy... When will be the time we'll be out of debt... I hope soon...lol

There are times in our life, we feel we're carrying a heavy burden on our shoulders. But, we dont know why and what makes us feel that way. We are confused and dont know how to surpass those pessimistic attitudes & thoughts we had. We regret the moment why such feeling conquer us & make us more vulnerable to wrong judgement. We can no longer function our everyday task because that feeling overpowered us to become weak. Sometime we're overwhelmed by unexpected trials and challenges that we have just encountered in our entire life. We want quick answers to those pains that been bothering in our hearts & minds for quiet some time now. But, we dont know where & how to begin the process. We feared for failures and loss. We tried hard to fix everything back to normal. As if, we are able to defeat the games in our lives. But, we are wrong, theres still missing. Something you cant hardly imagine that you're able to solved. Or something u even dont know... It will eventually ruined you more each day.

We define women as symbol of femininity, the opposite of masculanity. But, there are various definitions and interpretation regarding a women. They might be a wife or mistress, a feminist or not, a bride or spinster, a highly respected or destitute individual. They all play the same role as individual in human society. In premitive years, women considered to be different in todays modern days. In todays era, we became more strong, open minded, positive driven person able to fight and struggle in her inclination to succeed and able to excel an equal opportunies and achievement as of the opposite sex. We are more enhanced and developed through new technologies and profession that primitive women doesn't have. Though, there are still women whose beliefs and disposition doesn't change. But, through the help of new technology and women groups, they were able to cope up what is today's trends. We still have to continue the qualities of a premitive women in order for us to maintain the true meaning of a women. No matter how progressive and successful we are in our respective endeavor, we should not forget our role as a wife for our husband, a daughter to our parents, a mom to our children, a friend and responsible person to our environment and communities.
