Include Apple in your diet

Have you heard the saying “An apple a day makes a doctor away”? I’m sure all of you heard this saying already. Actually, there are a lot of health benefits you can get for this fruit. According to the Wikipedia, apples may reduce the risk of colon cancer, prostate cancer and lung cancer. It contains relatively low amounts of Vitamin C as well as several other antioxidant compounds. The fiber content, while less than in most other fruits, helps regulate bowel movements and may this reduce the risk of colon cancer. They may also help with heart disease, weight loss and controlling cholesterol, as they do not have any cholesterol, have fiber, which reduces cholesterol by preventing reabsorption, and are bulky for their caloric content like most fruits and vegetables. And, guess what? The quercetin in apples may help bolster your immune system during vulnerable times like flu. Apples are great sources of quercetin- a flavonoid that may stave off the influenza virus when the body is under stress. Quercetine could help power the body through both physical and psychological stress. So guys don’t forget to include apples in your grocery list. It’s not only good to your health but it will help you lose weight as well.
