iLASIK™ Information

I’ve heard a lot of successful surgery performed through LASIK technology. It is currently one of the most frequently performed elective procedures in the United States. LASIK is a highly effective outpatient procedure used to correct most ranges of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. In fact, two of my brother-in-law has undergone this type of laser surgery. According to them, they were satisfied of the results and it improves their vision. Even the NASA and DOD have validated the fact that today’s LASIK exceeds all established standards of safety and effectiveness. Another modern LASIK procedure that has been proven successful by Naval and Military personnel was the iLASIK™. It uses two lasers instead of one, as in earlier versions of the procedure. This laser replaces the handheld microkeratome blade used in older forms of LASIK and makes the procedure exceptionally safe. The combination of these advance laser technologies creates a custom-fit procedure clinically proven to provide excellent safety and visual results. So, I’ve been thinking that this modern procedure would be better for my husband. Just lately, he had a hard time reading his book. He can’t clearly see the words he was reading. One of these days, he probably needs a surgery. But for now, we should get all the LASIK information needed for the surgery.
