Joy for me is not only having a complete happiness and satisfaction. Its about the way you give it to anybody without expecting in return. Its a nice feeling if you can make anybody happy. Its great to look the one you help have those wide smiles in their faces. Joy with selfishness is like living a hell. Its like living or concerned in a worldly pleasures. You'll feel emptiness in spite all the material things you got. I was even wondering why some rich people were not yet satisfied and they're not happy in spite all their riches. They have taken drugs, got broken marriages, put to jail and very sad. Its like they were living in a mess and pretensions. I've realized that happiness is not about riches. But, its about whats inside that matters most and God as the center of their lives. That way, he will guide you through all your journey and lead you to a better ways.
